(Frey). The Quick-N-Save #1 case is located at 1901 South El Dorado Street in
Stockton (Site).
During the first quarter 2024, Frey detected petroleum hydrocarbons in groundwater
samples at concentrations up to 13,000 micrograms per liter (ug/L) total petroleum
hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), 3,400 ug/L benzene, 32 ug/L methyl tertiary butyl
ether (MTBE), 210 ug/L tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), and 220 ug/L naphthalene.
In the Assessment Report, Frey presented results of additional depth discrete grab
groundwater sampling from borings HP1 and HP2, and installation of wells MW-16 and
MW-17.
Based on Site data, the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum impacts are undefined to
the west and south of HP2. A review of aerial photos and google street view indicates
that the properties located at 2001 S El Dorado Street and 1951 S El Dorado Street
may be contributing off-Site sources of the petroleum hydrocarbons observed in boring
HP2. Additional soil and groundwater sampling is needed to delineate the plume in
these directions and determine if either of these properties is a potential contributing
MARK BRADFORD, CHAIR I PATRICK PULUPA, ESQ., EXECUTIVE OFFICER
11020 Sun Center Drive#200, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 1 www.waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley
