Please proceed with the sampling effort at your earliest convenience while incorporating a minimum
2-week notice to me of the anticipated sampling date. This notice will allow me to alert Ms. Katherine Perez and
ensure the Nototomne Cultural Preservation concerns are addressed prior to the field work. Based on sampling results in
the southeastern portion of the adjacent parcel (see attached figure), this supplemental sampling, consisting of
advancing four vertical borings and collecting multiple depth-discrete soil samples, is proposed herein with the objective
of reducing possible data gaps (e.g., depth and lateral extent)for elevated arsenic concentrations in soil in that area.
Pre-field, drilling, sampling, and analytical activities would be consistent with prior DTSC-approved investigation
methods and procedures (specifically,as presented in the August 26,2021 Supplemental Sampling Findings,Proposed
Excavation and Sampling Plan). Drilling will be conducted by a C-57 licensed driller under an applicable permit issued by
t
