Therefore, no further changes to the GWMP are being proposed herein <br /> but will be further evaluated as the remedy continues to progress. <br /> No WDR-MRP monitoring locations were selected for destruction as they continue to provide <br /> remedy performance evaluation data including groundwater flow direction, groundwater gradient <br /> and plume extent. However,considering the robust groundwater monitoring data collected to date, <br /> ancillary parameters that no longer provide added benefit are proposed to be removed from the <br /> WDR-MRP as noted below: <br /> • Permanganate at all wells: Large-scale in-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) injection <br /> activities concluded six years ago and permanganate is rarely reported during sampling <br /> activities, even following more recent direct-push injection activities 8. Therefore, <br /> permanganate monitoring is proposed to be removed for all wells. <br /> • Suite B Parameters (Total chromium,total potassium, and total dissolved solids [TDS]) at <br /> treatment zone wells (Figure 1): These constituents were previously sampled to assess <br /> secondary groundwater effects following ISCO injections. These constituents have <br /> remained stable and provide no added benefit for remedial performance evaluation within <br /> the treatment zone. Therefore,these constituents are proposed to be removed for treatment <br /> zone wells. However, hexavalent chromium will continue to be monitored semi-annually. <br /> It is recognized that additional focused ISCO injections may be implemented to support current <br /> groundwater remediation activities at the Site. Should ISCO injections be implemented, post- <br /> injection performance monitoring for the aforementioned constituents will resume for a duration <br /> approved by the CVRWQCB. <br /> SCHEDULE AND REPORTING <br /> Following CVRWQCB approval of the well destruction notification,the wells identified on Figure <br /> 1 will be destroyed using procedures previously approved by the CVRWQCB and in alignment <br /> with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) requirements. This work <br /> is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2026 pending procurement of necessary permits <br /> and access agreements with property owners/tenants. Documentation of the well destructions will <br /> be included in a Well Destruction Completion Report to be submitted to the CVRWQCB. <br /> Additionally, following CVRWQCB approval of the monitoring modification request, the <br /> 8 Geosyntec. 2026.
