Geosynte&
consultants
1. INTRODUCTION
This Well Destruction Work Plan (Work Plan) has been prepared by Geosyntec Consultants, Inc.
(Geosyntec)on behalf of Olin Corporation(Olin)for the Olin Chlor Alkali facility located at 26700
South Banta Road in Tracy, San Joaquin County, California (the Site; Figure 1). This Work Plan
was required by Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)in their letter
of Conditional No Further Action (NFA) Determination issued on April 20, 2026 (CVRWQCB
2026a). In the letter, CVRWQCB stated that the Final NFA Determination is contingent upon"the
destruction of the existing groundwater monitoring wells and any other borings or structures used
for site assessment and remediation, in accordance with all applicable County and State
requirements" and submittal of necessary documentation (e.g., work plan, completion report). To
fulfill these requirements, the following eight Site monitoring wells will be destroyed:
• MW-5, located on-site within Union Pacific Railroad(UPRR) and California Northern
Railroad(CFNR) rights-of-way.
• MW-9 to MW-15, located off-site to the northeast within access roads on agricultural
parcels used for orchard and row crop cultivation.
Well Destruction Work Plan 1 May 2026
