Santa Fe Avenue, <br /> Riverbank, of which we spoke briefly a couple weeks ago. I am forwarding to you the email I originally sent back to <br /> Michael Kith that summarizes the issue. I also revisited the soil sample results from earlier investigations and basically <br /> drew a circle around the area of soil impact, which I defined as positive lab results at depths to approximately 20 and 25 <br /> feet since very litter results are available between 5 and 15 feet.As we discussed,the site has undergone remediation <br /> through soil vapor extraction and air sparging.The difficulty is cleanly overdrilling the W diameter sparge wells as there <br /> is no pilot tool that the drillers have found to be effective in keeping over the well during drill-out (see explanation <br /> below). <br /> If you are uncomfortable pressure grouting all of the sparge wells, I have delineate which of those are outside the area <br /> of shallow soil impact, based upon lab results of nearby borings and based upon observations in the sparge wells <br /> themselves (if it is specifically noted "no odors"). See the attached figure. Based upon lab results, I would propose to <br /> pressure grout vapor extraction wells V-8, V-9, and V-10 and sparge wells S-1, S-2, and 5-13 through 5-20.
