Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Program Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />July 9, 2026 <br />Facility Address: <br />13579 N DE VRIES RD, LODIMIKE REGO <br />Facility Name: <br />Environmental Health Department <br />23 22 CCR 12 66262.16(b)(1), 66262.16(b)(8), 66262.16(c), 66262.16(g)(2); HSC 6.5 25123.3(h)(1) 3030010-SQG <br />disposed of hazardous waste within 180 days of accumulation start date (90 days for AHW) <br />OBSERVATION: Owner/Operator is a small quantity generator and failed to send hazardous waste offsite for treatment, <br />storage, or disposal within 180 days (or 270 days if waste is transported over 200 miles), or total amount of accumulated <br />hazardous waste exceeded 6,000 kg and has stored hazardous waste over 90 days, or failed to send acute hazardous <br />waste offsite within 90 days of accumulating 1 kg. <br />- A 200 gallon drum of used oil was found on site without a label <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: "Failure to send hazardous waste offsite for treatment, storage, or disposal within 180 days <br />(or 270 days if waste is transported over 200 miles) for a generator who generates less than 1000 kilograms per month <br />and the quantity of hazardous waste accumulated onsite never exceeds 6,000 kilograms; <br />or, failure to send acute hazardous waste offsite within 90 days once one kilogram of such waste is generated." <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Dispose of hazardous waste that has been stored over the applicable time limit and provide <br />documentation that the violation has been corrected. <br />This is a (Class 2) Violation. <br />25 22 CCR 12 66262.16(b)(4)(A), 66262.17(a)(5)(A) 3030007-Labeled all containers or portable tanks containing hazardous <br />waste <br />OBSERVATION: A 200 gallon container of used oil located along the south end of the aluminum building was observed <br />without a hazardous waste label. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE: Failure to properly label hazardous waste accumulation containers and portable tanks with <br />the following requirements: "Hazardous Waste", name and address of the generator, physical and chemical <br />characteristics of the Hazardous Waste, and starting accumulation date. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Submit a photo to the CUPA demonstrating that the container listed above has been properly <br />labeled. <br />This is a (Minor) Violation. <br />Inspector Phone: <br />(209) 616-3064 <br />Inspector: <br />Maria Lopez, EHS <br />Date: 7/9/2026 <br />Printed Name and Title: <br />Mike Rego, Environmental Contact <br />Received by: <br />AFTER THE COMPLIANCE DATE, EHD WILL BILL FOR ALL TIME AND ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATED WITH BRINGING THIS <br />FACILITY BACK INTO COMPLIANCE. <br />THIS FACILITY IS SUBJECT TO REINSPECTION AT ANY TIME AT EHD'S CURRENT HOURLY RATE. <br />Overall Inspection Comments <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the email RTC@SJGOV.ORG with a <br />statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by August 8, 2026. <br />To minimize person to person contact EHD is choosing to write the name of person receiving the report instead of <br />having them sign. Starting July 1, 2025, all in-office CERS help will be provided at the EHD hourly rate ($179).
