If desired,the washer can instead be installed on the <br /> discharge pipe. <br /> Sealing Pipe NOTE: Either option requires the sealing washer to be positioned <br /> below the pipe bolts after insertion of the pump into the Nova. <br /> `' Unscrew both upper plastic bolts(Sealing Pipe Bolts)on the 4"section <br /> of the Nova top until they are at least flush with the inside diameter. <br /> Insert pump and washer into the Nova and screw the Sealing Pipe <br /> Bolts back in to keep the washer and pump from sliding out of the <br /> Nova when lifted. <br /> r <br /> Pump Intake The Nova pump filter works with most turbine pump configurations, <br /> but the Sealing Pipe may need to be modified.Check to make sure <br /> that the 4"Sealing Pipe does not cover the Pump Intake. If it does. <br /> flow could be restricted.The pipe should be cut off to the point that <br /> the pipe ends above the intake of the pump.Also check to make sure <br /> that the Sealing Washer is located inside of the sealing pipe. If the <br /> Lower Screen Bolt washer is not inside of the pipe,the pipe needs to be added to or a <br /> longer one installed.The pipe is 4"S&D. <br /> Cleaning <br /> When cleaning,the screen can be separated from the Nova fittings <br /> if needed. Unscrew the black bolt on the bottom fitting (Lower <br /> Screen Bolt)and the lower bolt on the upper fitting(Upper Screen <br /> Bolt)and then slide the screen out.
