(Ground Zero) conducted groundwater monitoring and sampling for the first quarter 1995 at the Nor Cal Beverage Company site located at 1800 East Fremont Street in Stockton, California. Well MW-1 was monitored for depth to water and depth to bottom. The well was purged by bailing approximately three casing volumes of groundwater from the well . Electrical conductivity, pH, and temperature were monitored until these parameters stabilized during the purging process. Ground Zero's field technician then collected a groundwater sample from the well and shipped the sample under chain-of-custody to Argon Labs of Ceres, California (DOHS certification # 1873) for analysis. The sample was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) using EPA Method 8015; and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes 0 (BTEX) using EPA Method 8020. The attached laboratory report indicates TPHg and BTEX were not detected in the groundwater sample collected from monitoring well MW-1. This is consistent with previous results. With this event we have completed the two additional rounds of sampling requested by San Joaquin County Public Health Services- Environmental Health Division prior to closure. A closure report is in preparation and will be submitted for your concurrence.
