The proposed development project includes:
1. A farm services headquarters, medium winery with tasting room and commercial kitchen, and an olive
mill on 10.31 acres to be built in three phases over a five year period, as proposed and approved in
PA-1300159. The proposed development project has a total wastewater flow of 137.6 gallons per day
(gpd) from the following usage:
Wastewater flow of 18.6 gpd from 2 farm service employees (5 days a week).
Wastewater flow of 26 gpd from 2 tasting room employees.
Wastewater flow of 50 gpd from 10 tasting room customers.
Wastewater flow of 17.3 gpd from 4 milling/processing employees (4 months).
Wastewater flow of 25.7 gpd from 125 marketing event customers (15 times per year).
2. The wastewater flow of 137.6 gpd is not to be used for septic system design or size calculation.
Based on the information provided, the EHD can make the following findings:
1. The Soil Suitability Study supports the suitability for standard OWTS usage for the proposed
development project on the above mentioned parcel, pursuant to San Joaquin County Ordinance
Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided proposed OWTS and 100% replacement area can meet
all required minimum setbacks from any water wells.
2. Due to the percolation rate of 9 minutes per inch an 8 foot soil separation between the bottom of the
disposal field and groundwater is required. Groundwater has been reported at 23 feet below grade at
this site, according to Terracon's Geotechnical Investigation (NA145058).
1868 E.
