or
December 4, 1978
Mr. Robert Hunter
San Joaquin County Planning Dept.
1850 E. ffazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
RE: RANCHO CIRCLE SUBDIVISION (Public Water, Individual
Septic Systems)
The San Joaquin Local ffealth District has recently reviewed
the tenative subdivision map for Rancho Circle in the town
of Thornton, California.
Several soil percolation tests have been conducted on adjacent
parcels to this subdivision and have yielded extremely good
results -- 1" per 6 minutes requiring 6000 square feet of
absorption area for the septic systems. The soil in this
subdivision consists of a sandy loam which is similar to that
of adjacent parcel where the percolation tests had been com-
pleted and it is estimated that additional percolation tests
will yield the same results. (i.e. 1" per 6 minutes)
Based on this data, the San Joaquin Local Health District
will permit 20,000 square feet per lot with the provision
that three additional percolation tests be completed in this
proposed subdivision and field a percolation rate of not
greater than 20 minutes per inch. This provision conforms
to the requirements stated in San Joaquin County Ordinance
549, Rules and Regulations pertaining thereto.
Should you have further questions, please call Carl borgman
of my staff, 466-6781, Ext 51.
Jack J.
