FREYENVIRONMENTAL, INC.
Environmental Geologists, Engineers,Assessors
2817A Lafayette Avenue
Newport Beach, CA 92663
(949) 723-1645
Fax(949) 723-1854
www.freyinc.com
Email:freyinc@freyinc.com
PROJECT BACKGROUND/HISTORY/FUTURE
BOULEVARD AUTOMOTIVE
The Site previously had an underground storage tank (UST) that was subject to an unauthorized
release.Numerous soil, soil vapor, and groundwater investigations have been conducted at the site
with multiple remedial methods tested to bring the Site to case closure in accordance with SWRCB
requirements. To date, none of the methods (chemical injection and dual-phase extraction) have
been proven to be a feasible remedial method. The RWQCB directed the installation of a biosparge
well to test the feasibility of biosparging as a remedial method. This scope of work involves the
drilling of two CPT borings, one to determine lithology and one to collect soil samples, and the
installation of one biosparge well to test the effectiveness of biosparging as a remedial method.
Future work includes design and implementation of a full-scale remedial system at the site and
eventual well destruction of all wells and probes associated with the Site once the Site has been
granted closure. There are no current plans to redevelop the Site from its current use/configuration.
