All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as "MAJOR" pose an immediate threat to public <br />health and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations (Title 22) section 65545. <br />VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS <br /> #1 Pool Gates <br />OBSERVATIONS: The entrance gate is damaged and does not self-close and self latch. Repair gate so that it is self-closing <br />and self-latching. Correct today. Close pool area until the corrections are made and verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Gates and doors leading into the pool area shall be equipped with self-closing self-latching devices. <br />Self-latching devices shall be designed to keep the gate or door securely closed. Gates and doors shall open outward from the pool <br />area except where otherwise prohibited by law. (CBC 3119B) Pool operator shall keep gates and doors leading into the pool area well <br />maintained. (CCR 65535) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #4 Safety Equipment <br />OBSERVATIONS: A 12 foot fixed length rescue pole with a permanently attached hook and a 17 inch life ring with throw rope <br />was not available. Correct today. Close pool area until the corrections are made and verified by this department. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use. Pools shall have at <br />minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br />rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br />(CCR 65540) <br />This is (Major) Violation. <br />MAJOR <br /> #3 Safety Signs <br />OBSERVATIONS: A safety sign containing the name & address of the facility, pool capacity, pool hours and the diarrhea sign <br />(Notice Persons Having Currently Active Diarrhea Or Who Have Had Active Diarrhea Within The Previous 14 Days Shall Not Be <br />Allowed To Enter The Pool Water) are not posted. All safety signs shall be posted. Correct today. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Pool operator shall keep safety signs well maintained. (CCR 65535) Safety signs shall have clearly legible <br />letters or numbers not less than 4 inches high, unless otherwise specified. Safety signs shall be affixed to a wall, pole, gate, or similar <br />permanent structure in a location visible to all pool users, unless otherwise specified.
