COMPLAINT INSPECTION REPORT <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Name of Facility: MENCHIE'S FROZEN YOGURT Date: 09/17/2025 <br />Address: 1888 W ELEVENTH , TRACY 95376 <br />Owner/Operator: FUN TIME YOGURT INC Telephone: (209) 229-1998 <br />Program Element: 1600 - Complaint #: CO2500560 <br />Responsible Party Contact: DISCUSSED W/ BOB & ADELE BLOCH <br />DESCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT ALLEGATIONS <br />The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department received the following complaint: <br />Customer found broken glass in their mouth while eating frozen yogurt at Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt on 11 th St. in Tracy. <br />(C) gave the glass and the yogurt to the employee, but they didn’t remove the almonds from the bar, nor stop anyone from <br />getting the two flavors of yogurt (C) had (vanilla, cookies and cream). <br />OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br />COMMENTS AND OBSERVATIONS <br />Owners are on site and are aware of the complaint. Per owners, the complainant was issued a refund. The owners have the pieces <br />of glass provided by the complainant (amber colored glass). <br />Upon inspection, there is no amber colored glass at the facility. The only glass on site are bottled Starbucks Frappuccino coffee <br />drinks (sold as beverages, not used as an ingredient for yogurt). These bottled beverages have clear glass. <br />All containers, utensils, equipment, toppings, storage containers are plastic or stainless steel. The standpipe in the yogurt <br />machines does not allow pieces of material as large as the glass into the yogurt dispenser. <br />The almonds used by the facility are medium diced roasted almonds from Alldrin Bros . Almonds in Modesto (855-667-4231). Box of <br />almonds on site are Lot #191058P. The almonds arrive in a plastic bag inside of a cardboard box. No additional pieces of glass are <br />observed at the almonds out for customer use at toppings bar. Inspector called Alldrin Bros to make them aware of potential glass . <br />Routine inspection of facility conducted concurrently. <br />It is recommended this lot of almonds be removed from sale. <br />The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br />Safety Code.
