r BEFORE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> k� <br /> I . <br /> APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO DO GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY WORK ON <br /> ROAD RIGHTS OF WAY OF SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> TO: HONORABLE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS <br /> The CGG LAND SEISMIC INCORPORATED <br /> hereby applies for permission to be granted to it, acting through its geophysical <br /> survey corporate agent, to do geophysical survey work on the public roads of San <br /> f Joaquin County. <br /> Surveys are to be conducted by either "Shot" or "Vibroseis" method. <br /> In consideration of the granting of this permit, we hereby insure and <br /> undertake as follows: <br /> i. The work of <br /> geophysical survey, unless otherwise authorized by the <br /> Department of Public Works, shall be confined to that portion of the <br /> rights-of-way for road purposes that are Off-paved portions of roads and off <br /> shoulders of roads, so as not to constitute a hazard in any way to vehicular, ' <br /> pedestrian, or equestrian traveling public. <br /> Upon written authorization by the Public Works Department, the work of '+ <br /> performing the geophysical survey on the paved portion of the roadway and the <br /> shoulders of the road wiil 'be permitted only under the condition that the <br /> Permittee agrees to pay the County on demand the cost of performing the <br /> necessary field inspection of the work including incidental expenses. <br /> 2. All holes shall be refilled with clay or grout and the existing facili= <br /> ties shall be repaired with material equal to or better in quality and quantity. <br /> 3. A record shall be made and kept available to the County of San Joaquin <br /> of all locations where the "Vibroseis" or "Shot"-Method is employed and in addi- <br /> tion to that when "Shot" Method is employed, applicant must first obtain <br /> clearance from the Sheriff's Department for ' the use and storage of explosives, <br /> and a map, showing the locations of all such "Shot" Method holes shall be filed <br /> with the San Joaquin Local Health District, to the satisfaction of the Director <br /> thereof. <br /> 4. Written notice shall be given at least forty--eight (48) hours prior to <br /> commencement of work, or any segment thereof, to the Field Inspection Division of . <br /> i <br /> . the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works (209-944-2281, Stockton) . Any <br /> work permitted herein shall' be subject to approval by the Department of Public <br /> Works prior to commencement. <br /> 5. Nohole shall be bored below the firsE's`tta-taof'water."" AII"'hal'es that- <br /> go deeper than the first strata of water shall be sealed off from other strata of <br /> water bearing soil. A permit shall be obtained from the San Joaquin Local <br /> Health Distri-ct: <br /> 6.
