These water samples will be
collected to evaluate the possibility that elevated concentra-
tions of dissolved agricultural chemicals are present in the Site
irrigation supply and/or in Site irrigation drainage water.
r-
' Task 6: Laboratory Analysis
Field Area
The composited shallow soil samples collected from the field por-
'+ tion of the Site will be analyzed by a California-certified labo-
ratory for chlorinated herbicides using EPA Method 8150, orga-
nochlorine pesticides/PCBs using EPA Method 8080, and arsenic,
lead and mercury using atomic adsorption methodology. Three of
the field area soil samples will also be tested for organophos-
phate pesticides.
r_
Northeast Area
r^
Soil and ground-water samples collected in the immediate vicinity
of the two above-ground diesel tanks in the northeast area of the
Site will be analyzed for TPH (as diesel) using modified EPA
Method 8015. Soil and ground-water samples collected in the
c vicinity of the removed underground gasoline tank location will
be tested for TPH (as gasoline) and benzene, toluene, xylene and
ethylbenzene (BTXE) . Soil samples collected at other locations
within the northeast area will be analyzed for chlorinated herbi-
cides using EPA Method 8150, organochlorine pesticides/PCBs using
r- EPA Method 8080, and arsenic, lead and mercury using atomic
adsorption methodology.
r Northwest Boundary
Ground-water samples collected at the northeast boundary of the
Site will be analyzed for volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using
EPA Method 624 , base/neutral and acid extractable compounds
(BNAs) using EPA Method 625, and TPH using modified EPA Method
w 8015.
r-
5./1
