Storer Transportation Systems - Fire Procedure <br /> Fire Procedure (Real) Evacuation <br /> A. Fire Procedure/Explosion Procedure/Evacuation <br /> ITEM ACTION PIAN <br /> 1 Alert a CEO, Manager or Supervisor of Emergency (Type) <br /> 2 One staff is designated as the Emergency Coordinator and shall be in <br /> Control, with responsibility to gather details regarding the fire. <br /> San Joaquin Yard it is Alberta DeAnda/ or other supervisor in her <br /> absence. <br /> 3 Emergency Coordinator or his designee shall verbally state that a "Fire <br /> Evacuation is in effect' <br /> 4 Assemble as soon as possible all STS staff in the south east corner of the <br /> Yard. (If safe depending on emergency) <br /> 5 STS supervisory staff (or designee) shall go from room to room in every <br /> building making certain all Staff are aware of the evacuation orders. <br /> b Lead or supervisory staff from every building shall account for and confirm <br /> for every STS employee or visiting customer on the property by room <br /> searches. <br /> 7 If possible and safe all Trained Staff shall get extinguisher(s) and attempt to <br /> extinguish fire, or close doors to contain fire, according to fire scenario. <br /> 8 An assigned STS staff shall verify all staff are present and inform the <br /> Emergency Coordinator. Keep track of time on all important events during <br /> the emergency <br /> 9 Evacuation procedure shall remain in effect until STS Emergency <br /> Coordinator and/or Responding Emergency Personnel state the <br /> emergency is over. <br /> Documentation the event is necessary and forward all information to a Safety Officer for <br /> review, upon resolution of the fire. <br /> Remember: Evacuation of STS staff from an area of a fire to a safe location is of primary <br /> importance in the management of a fire emergency. <br /> Finally there should be a debriefing regarding the Emergency; a Manager should critique <br /> STS staff performance. <br /> Rev. 12/08 <br />
