Hazelton Avenue <br />Stockton, CA 95205 <br />Dear Mr. Lopez, <br />This email details Sierra Chemical Co.'s responses and corrective actions to the findings of the <br />HMBP inspection conducted by you of the Stockton, CA facility on October 30, 2015. We <br />appreciate your patience while we have made definitive and permanent actions in response to <br />the issues brought up during the inspection. Our responses were delayed due to internal <br />personnel failures and this situation has been corrected by temporarily reassigning the <br />responsibility of regulatory data collection and report generation to the company process <br />engineer. The company is now currently in the process of permanently replacing the previously <br />responsible employee, who is no longer with the company. <br />Responses to the three violations are listed below and documentation has been attached to <br />support these corrective actions. <br />Violation #7 - Failed to complete and/or submit hazardous materials inventory for all reportable materials <br />on site. <br />Reportable quantities of soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, aluminum sulfate, polyaluminum chloride <br />solution, citric acid solution, sodium chloride, citric acid solution, oxalic acid dihydrate and latex paint were found on <br />site that t+ave not been reported_ Any material that meets or exceeds the reportable quantity shall be reported in the <br />facility's business plan. Immediately log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) at <br />http Ncers.calepa.ca.govl, add the materials to the hazardous material inventory, and submit to the EHD for approva <br />The Hazardous Materials Inventory forms for calcium hypochlorite, sodium bisulfite, muriatic acid were not completE <br />The amount for each of these materials are identified in pounds instead of gallons. This information must be curre <br />and submitted as part of tt+e business plan.
