Violation of CFC, Article 80, section 8003.1.3, failure to provide spill control and <br />secondary containment for hazardous materials liquids and solids <br />Fire Safety Inspection, July 28, 2005: <br />North End Warehouse Item No. 12 — Repair the secondary containment in the Acid <br />package area. Secondary containment has considerable damage from acid reaction to the <br />containment area. Secondary containment drainage systems must lead to an approved <br />location. Secondary containment must have liquid -tight sloped or recessed floors in <br />indoor locations or similar areas in outdoor locations or liquid -tight floors in indoor <br />locations or similar areas in outdoor locations provided with liquid -tight raised or <br />recessed sills or dikes. CFC, Sec. 8003.1.3.3 <br />Sierra Chemical Response and Action: <br />In -Progress, EUCO #456 Mortar & EUCOTHANE High Performance Urethane Coating <br />Cost: $4,475.00 (See 9.a. (First Cause of Action)) <br />Fire Safety Inspection, July 18, 2002: <br />Hydrochloric Acid Packaging Area 1: Repair the secondary containment area that has <br />severe etching and break through. CFC, 8003.1.3.2 and 8003.1.3.3 <br />Sierra Chemical Response and Action: <br />Concrete was removed and sampling was conducted by Sierra Chemical Co. to <br />demonstrate no breakthrough, June 2003.
