' APPENDIX A <br /> ' HD Supply <br /> Hazardous Materials Business Plan <br /> Business Emergency Response Plan <br /> ' Business Description: Wholesale distribution centers for consumer hardware. <br /> Emergency Equipment <br /> ' Your facility is set up at minimum with the following emergency equipment: <br /> • First aid kit(s) <br /> • Emergency eyewash station <br /> • Fire extinguishers <br /> • Emergency lights <br /> • Spill kit(s) and absorbent(located in the hazardous waste accumulation area) <br /> ' Some locations will also have one or more of the following emergency equipment: <br /> Fire sprinkler systems <br /> Fire alarms <br /> • Public address systems <br /> • Emergency shower(s) <br /> Notifications <br /> Reporting Incidents—Who to Call <br /> In the event of a small spill or threatened release, contact your Designated Environmental <br /> Associate (DEA). <br /> ' In the event of a large or uncontrolled spill or release, contact your DEA. If the DEA is <br /> not readily available and the situation appears to be an emergency, call 911 for <br /> assistance and contact the HD Supply emergency spill response vendor, PSC at 877- <br /> .577-2669. <br /> ' • In the event of a non-emergency workplace accident, contact your supervisor. <br /> • In the event of an emergency, contact 911 and your supervisor. <br /> • In the event of a fire or some other serious situation, sound the alarm using the internal <br /> ' alarms system and/or by making verbal notifications to others around you. Mitigation, and Abatement Procedures <br /> ' Prevention of Releases: <br /> In order to minimize the potential for a release of a hazardous material, all employees are trained <br /> on proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. The majority of hazardous materials <br /> remain in their original containers during receipt, storage, transfer, sale, and delivery. Small <br /> amounts of hazardous materials may be used at the facility as part of routine operations. <br /> Consumer goods on display for sale and materials in overhead rack storage are securely stacked <br /> ' and stored. <br /> Liquid chemicals, particularly those stored outdoors, are protected by secondary containment <br /> devices.Above ground storage tanks, if present, are protected from vehicular impact by bollards <br /> ' or other protective devices. <br />
