Sep 23 15 07:30a Jiffylube598• 92398763 p.6 SPCC Overview A Spill Prevention Countermeasure and Control (SPCC) plan should be completed, implemented and maintained at each Jiffy Lube store with the following volumes of Petroleum Storage: • Combined aboveground storage capacity exceeding 1,320 gallons, or • Underground storage exceeding 42,000 gallons of capacity. The plan should address operating procedures the facility implements, control measures designed to prevent oil from reaching navigable waters, and countermeasures to contain, cleanup, and mitigate the effects of an oil spill that has an impact on the environment. Additional major elements of the SPCC Plan should include employee training, container inspections, secondary containment, and integrity testing. The plan should be recertified every five years or when there is a major revision to the store's oil storage capacity or secondary containment. Examples of major revisions include installation of additional containers/tanks, changing products of tanks, or moving container storage areas.
