I believe we are at the point of approving the
transfer of ownership. We can set up a time for you to visit and help finish the required paperwork. Let me
know what days work for you and I will see which of those days works for us.
Thank you!
Kelsey Vant Voort
kvantvoort@hotmail.com
209-201-9344
Sent from Outlook
From: Ruvalcaba,Cesar<cruvalcaba@sjgov.org>
Sent: Monday, November 4,2019 2:47 PM
To:kvantvoort@hotmail.com<kvantvoort@hotmail.com>
Subject: San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department-PR0525145
Hello,
I have submitted the paperwork to update the facility file for 11901 W. Ripon Rd. I kept the farm as a hazardous
materials storage site. If used oil from the farm equipment is generated or stored there, I will need to add the facility as
a hazardous waste generator as well. I would like to set up an inspection in the near future. Feel free to call me at(209)
953-6213 or email me at cruvalcabaCdsi¢oy.org so that we can set up a time and date.
The Hazardous Materials inspection will consist of a verification of the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)
information. There is a requirement to report hazardous materials which are stored in a combined total of 55 gallons or
more for liquids(gasoline, diesel, new oil, used oil,fertilizers,pesticides,etc.),500 lbs. or more for solids(fertilizers,
pesticides etc.)or 200 cubic feet or more of gases(oxygen,acetylene,argon,nitrogen,etc.).The reporting requirements
apply to combined totals,if you have 55 one gallon containers of a chemical this would meet the reporting threshold.
Reporting would apply to any hazardous material that will be onsite for a day or longer. For example,500 pounds of
fertilizer that will be used up in two days will still need to be reported. There should also be a facility map. Guidance for
the facility map is attached and can also be found here in the Hazardous Materials Business Plan Program link. The
requirement to have a contingency plan also applies and is attached and can be found here. All these documents will
need to be downloaded into the CERS. CERS can be accessed here. I will have my computer with me,and as long as I
have a cellular connection, I can help with this.Training logs will also be reviewed for this program.
The CERS ID associated with the parcel is 10185683.You will have to create a username and password. Once in,you will
have to"Add New Facility". Fill in the address Feld 11901 W, Ripon and the city and zip code.
You should see the old name of the Business Vel-En Farms and the CERS ID will be there too.You will select option 2.
1
