Antonini Enterprises <br /> Inspection Training <br /> Revised <br /> Purpose: <br /> The purpose of this training is to provide information on appropriate procedures for inspection of bulk <br /> storage petroleum above ground tanks and piping at the Antonini facility. <br /> Applicability: <br /> This training is applicable to Antonini employees who work around bulk petroleum materials and includes <br /> the maintenance crew. This training is intended to be provided to new hires within the first week of <br /> employment and to applicable employees on an annual basis. <br /> Training and Recurrence: <br /> The training will be taught in-house by Antonini Safety Supervisor and/or Maintenance Manager. Annual <br /> training will be provided during the First Quarter of each year.Training records will be retained by the Safety <br /> Supervisor for a period of no less than tree years. <br /> 1. General Inspection Details <br /> The purpose of regular inspections of the bulk petroleum above ground tanks(AGTs)and piping is to <br /> ensure the AGTs are not leaking and are well maintained.The following are general inspection guidelines <br /> specific to all AGTs at the facility: <br /> • Designated Antonini employees shall inspect AGTs on weekly schedule. <br /> • The designated inspection log shall be used by the designated employees to document the <br /> observations of all scheduled and non-scheduled inspections. <br /> • Completed inspection logs shall be submitted to the Safety Supervisor for permanent record keeping. <br /> • New inspection logs will be provided by the Safety Supervisor as needed. <br /> • Inspections shall focus on the exterior of the AGTs mindful of leaks or spills associated with each <br /> operational AGT. <br /> • Spills or leaks identified during weekly inspection shall be reported to Safety Supervisor or Maintenance <br /> Manager for corrective action.Sufficient detail of spill or leak shall be provided to allow Safety <br /> Supervisor or Maintenance Manager to make prompt and appropriate corrections. <br /> • Spills or leaks that are not corrected within one-week should be noted on inspection form and again <br /> reported to Safety Supervisor or Maintenance Manager for corrective action. <br /> 2. Specific Inspections for Bulk Diesel and Gasoline AGTs <br /> The bulk diesel and gasoline AGTs require specific inspection details: <br /> • Visually inspect the exterior condition of bulk diesel and gasoline AGTs,along seams and on top of the <br /> tanks to verify no leaks are present. <br /> • Visually inspect exterior of AGTs for any obvious signs of deterioration or corrosion. <br /> • Visually inspect all exterior piping(located between each AGT and fuel dispenser)to verify no leaks. <br /> • Visually inspect all fueling areas to ensure there are no spills from refueling efforts. <br /> • Spills or leaks identified during weekly inspection shall be reported to Safety Supervisor or Maintenance <br /> Manager for corrective action.Sufficient detail of spill or leak shall be provided to allow Safety <br /> Supervisor or Maintenance Manager to take prompt and appropriate action. <br /> • Spills or leaks that are not corrected within one-week should be highlighted on inspection form and <br /> again reported to Safety Supervisor or Maintenance Manager for corrective action. <br /> Page f of 2 <br />
