The UDC annular space liquid sensors and the
vent sump annular space liquid sensor were not located at the top of the annular space to
detect a drop in annular space liquid at the earliest opportunity.
ii The liquid level in the annular space and the annular space liquid sensors of the UDC's
and the vent sump were adjusted to the proper level. Please see attached photos.
ii Wayne Perry is scheduled to raise the brine reservoirs so that the top of the sensor is
in line with the breather port.
#404. Water was found in the 87, 91 and diesel sumps and UDC sumps % and 11/12. The
designated reports for May, June, July and November 2013 and February 2014 note liquid
repeatedly found in the UDCs. Secondary containment shall be constructed to prevent any
water intrusion into the system by precipitation, infiltration, or surface runoff.
u The trace amounts of water found in the 87, 91 & diesel sumps appear to be the result
of condensation. Condensation found in the 87, 91 and diesel sumps were removed during the
inspection.
la On 5/20/14 Chevron contractor (Wayne Perry) returned to the station to inspect the
87, 91 and diesel sumps for liquid, at that time, all sumps were found dry.
u To keep track on the condensation, the Designated Operator will continue to perform a
visual inspection and will address issues if deficiencies found.
u Wayne Perry replaced the leaking meters in the UDC '/, and 11/12 which caused liquid in
the UDCs.
U Wayne Perry performed vacuum test for interstitial space on UDC X and 11/12, both
1
