<br />This Product Safety Information Sheet is principally
<br />directed to managerial, safety, hygiene and medical per-
<br />sonnel. The description of physical, chemical and toxi-
<br />cological properties and handling advice is based on
<br />experimental results and past experience. It is intended
<br />as a starling point for the development of safety and health
<br />procedures.

<br />V. FIREFIGHTING TECHNIQUE
<br />As in any fire, prevent human exposure to fire, smoke,
<br />fumes or products of combustion. Evacuate nonessential
<br />personnel from the fire area.
<br />When there is a potential for exposure to fire, smoke,
<br />fumes, products of combustion, etcfirefighters should
<br />wear full -face, self-contained breathing apparatus and
<br />impervious clothing such as gloves, hoods, suits and
<br />rubber boots.
<br />Use standard firefighting techniques in extinguishing
<br />fires involving this product. Use water, dry chemicals,
<br />foam, carbon dioxide or other suitable extinguishing
<br />agents.
<br />VI. TOXICOLOGY
<br />CAUTION: May cause irritation. Prolonged contact with
<br />skin and eyes may cause irritation.
<br />Ingestion
<br />The acute oral LD50 is grcoter than 1000 mg/kg in male
<br />rats. A single oral dose of 1000 mg/kg did not produce
<br />signs of toxicity in male rats.
<br />Skin Contact
<br />Mild irritant to rabbit skin following a 24-hour exposure.
<br />Threshold Lin -wit Value (TLV)

<br />Hygienists has not established a TLV.

<br />VII. FIRST AID
<br />CALL A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY

<br />do not wait for symptoms to develop. Immediately ini, ate
<br />the recommended procedures below. Simultaneously
<br />contact a physician, or the nearest hospital, or the nearest
<br />Poison C6ntrol Center. Inform the person contacted of
<br />the type and extent of exposure, describe the victim's
<br />symptoms, and follow the advice given. For additional
<br />informatioh, call coll6ct, day or night, Stauffer Chemical
<br />Company (203) 226-6602 or Chemtrec (800) 424-9300.
<br />Ingestion
<br />ffswallowed— Immediately dilute the swallowed material
<br />by giving large quantities of water. Induce vomiting by
<br />gagging the victim with a blunt object placed on the back
<br />of the victim's tongue. Continue fluid administration until
<br />vomitus is clear. Never give anything by mouth to an
<br />unconscious person. Call a physician or the nearest Poi-
<br />son Control Center immediately.
<br />Skin Contact
<br />Remove any contaminated clothing and wash all affected
<br />areas with plenty of soap and water. Seek medical atten-
<br />tion if irritation occurs.
<br />Eye Contact
<br />Immediately flush the eyes with large quantities of run-
<br />ning water for a minimum of 15 minutes. Hold the eyelids
<br />apart during the flushing to ensure rinsing of the entire
<br />surface of the eye and lids with water. Do not attempt to
