Contact the fire department and the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District for <br />applicable permits. <br />2. At least one person who holds the International Code Council (ICC) UST Installer/Retrofitter <br />certification and manufacturers' certificate of training for all components installed must be onsite <br />when work is performed. <br />3. Each person installing or testing any component must hold a certificate of training from the <br />manufacturer of that component. <br />4. Any changes shall be submitted to EHD for approval prior to commencing work. All new <br />submittals supercede the previous ones. <br />5. All piping, fittings, sumps, under -dispenser containment and tanks must be certified by an <br />independent testing organization and labeled as required by the organization. (UL, ULC, ANSI, <br />API, ASTM, etc. See Title 23 Chapter 16 Table B for complete list.) <br />6. All USTs shall be anchored using dead men as detailed in the permit application. <br />7. All monitoring systems shall be listed on the LGl 13-16. <br />8. All installation and testing shall be in compliance with manufacturer's instructions, section 2635 <br />and section 2636 of California Code of Regulations (CCR) <br />9. All piping must slope to a containment sump with an audible/visual alarm. <br />10. All connections (shraeder valves) from the vacuum on the piping to the vacuum source must be <br />turned down in the piping sump. <br />11. All tank top openings that are connected to the primary space of the UST must have secondary <br />containment, audible/visual alarm and be vapor tight or terminate at grade. <br />12. Sumps and under dispenser containment must be constructed in a manner to prevent vapors from <br />entering the backfill. <br />13. All secondary containment must be constructed to prevent water intrusion. <br />14. The secondary containment system must be continuously monitored as required under California <br />Health & Safety Code (HSC) 25290.1 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
