System will also alarm if liquid is detected in the
interstitial space, or if the vacuum level in the interstitial space decreases at a rate exceeding 85±15 liters/hour.
Applicability:
Underground double -walled tank, connected double -walled piping, and Aer connected interstitial spaces storing
gasoline, gasohol, diesel, heating oil #2, kerosene, aviation fuel, mottar. of ater.
Manufacturer's Specifications: t/
Alarm will activate when interstitial vacuum decreases tovacuu (3. "Hg}.
Default maximum vacuum level (pump -off pressure) is sl Gcui n (16. g), but can be set as low as
4 psi (8.2" Hg) if the monitored system requires that a'! Werlevel Qf vacuum be maintained.
The interstitial space shall be rated for the operattig vaGuu
t of tike leak detector, regardless of temperature and
groundwater level fluctuations. t `
Volume of monitored interstitial. space must7texile\ 8 3 or tanks and 10 m3 for piping.
When monitoring double -walled tanks a I Id sensor ust be located at lowest point of interstitial space.
Calibration:
Functional and operational afe s sou be performed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
Comments:
Interstitial space is tested con nuou,S
System is connected to the inters#itial space by a single vacuum line.
Vacuum is generated by the turbine pump, and is measured and controlled by a vacuum sensor.
Veeder-Root Evaluator: Ken Wilcox Associates
125 Powder Forest Dr. Tel: (816) 443-2494
Simsbury, Cf 06070-2003 Date of Evaluation: 06/09/2004
Tel: 860-651-2700
E-mail: dhalla@veeder.com
URL: www.veeder.com.
Appearance on this list is not to be construed as an endorsement by any regulatory agency nor is it any guarantee of the performance of the
method or equipment_ Equipment should be installed and operated in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
