Macias
Comment #1: The Healy Clean Air separator Tank will be inspected as part of the annual
Roy W. Pedro
certification testing. I confirmed with Healy systems that it is a rare occurrence to
Alan K Shimabukuro
have condensate accumulate in the separator tank. Attached to this letter are
sections of the CARB Executive Order concerning the draining of the Clean Air
John W. Strobel
Separator of any condensate (Section 6.8 of the attached document vr202a_ex4.pdf)
and the Installation, Operation and Maintenance of the Clean Air Separator tank
(vr202a_iom4).
Comment #2 The vent and vapor return piping will be tested using the same procedures as those
used for the product piping.
Comment #3 Detail 3 on Sheet F5.0 shows the typical installation of the product piping at and
within the under -dispenser containment at each dispenser. Detail 7 shows the
typical installation of the vapor return piping at and within the under -dispenser
containment at each dispenser. Detail 11 shows the typical installation of the vapor
return piping within the under -dispenser containment specifically for the dispenser
closest to the underground tank(s). Detail 6 shows the typical installation of In -
station Diagnostics equipment within the under -dispenser containment, with the
vapor flow meter located above the vapor shear valve. Detail 10 shows the same
equipment installation with the vapor flow meter located below the vapor shear
valve. These installation details are from the CARB Executive Order VR -202-A.
Comment #4 Gravel/Sediment and fossil fuel filters are to be placed in each storm drain inlet
meeting city requirements and will be maintained on a regular basis.
Offices
If you have any questions, additional comments or need additional information, please feel free to
ANAHEIM, CA
call me at (916) 771-2555.
BELLEVUE, WA
CAMAS, WA
ectfully,
Design oup, Inc
MARTINEZ, CA
PETALUMA, CA
a
ROSEVILLE, CA
 orte
rai en
SCOTTSDALE, AZ
Job Ca am
www.rhldesign.com
