Results showed soil
contamination.
11-00-90' The previously closed in place USTs 'w'ere removed and
approximately 1,530 cubic yards of soil was excavated from the tank pit area.
This soil was aerated under permit from San Joaquin County Air Pollution
Control District and subsequently put back into the'excavation.
09-07-95 Additional soil borings and grab groundwater samples were
obtained from the site. The results showed no vadose zone contamination but
did detect a limited groundwater plume.
06-14-96Additional soil borings (with groundwater grab samples) and
11
monitoring wells were installed at the site to fully define the extent of the
contamination. Soil samples were also analyzed fo'lr biological, chemical, and
physical parameters.
9
07=24-96 ` PHS-EHD receives a closure report documenting the findings and
recommending closure. As the source has been removed and the data indicates
degradation is taking place, PHS-EHD staff believesthat beneficial uses are
protected"during the period of time this plume's existence.
