He also maintains records on system operation and carbon usage by maintaining logs. SPENT ACTIVATED CARBON FROM SOIL VACUUMING SYSTEM: Lubricator (Pedro Elizondo) performs Carbon Drum changeouts as required , based on laboratory test. He also keeps drums properly labeled and helps to maintain system operation data logs. WASTE OIL FROM GEARBOXES: Lubricator (Pedro Elizondo) collects oil and stores in double containment drum system with screw on lid on outer container. he also keeps drums properly labeled and keeps lid on when not transferring waste. WASTE OIL FROM VEHICLES: Forklift truck mechanics (Fred Corral and Mike Smith) collect motor oil and store in double containment drum system with screw on lid on outer container. They also keep drums properly labeled and keep lid on when not transferring waste. WASTE OIL FILTERS FROM VEHICLES: Fork Truck Mechanics (Fred Corral and Mike Smith) drain oil filters into waste oil storage drum system previously mentioned, and then put filters into waste oil filter storage drum. They also keep drum labeled and keep lid on when not transferring waste. WASTE ANTIFREEZE FROM VEHICLES: Fork Truck Mechanics (Fred Corral and Mike Smith) collect used antifreeze and store in double containment drum system with screw on lid on outer container. They also keep drums properly labeled and keep lid on when not transferring waste. LAB SOLVENTS FROM LAB TESTING: Lab technicians (Glen Mapes and Tony Solano) collect used solvent and store in double containment drum systems with screw on lid on outer container. They also keep drums properly labeled and keep lid on when not transferring waste. ASBESTOS FROM INSULATION, PACKING, & GASKETING: Insulation removal jobs are done by licensed asbestos removal contractors. This material is promptly removed from plant to a certified asbestos landfill. Small amounts of insulation packing or gasketing associated with maintenance operations, are temporarily bagged and drummed by our painter/ insulator, who has the equipment and training to safely store this material. He also keeps drums properly labeled and locked in a Hazardous Waste Storage Area until it can be picked up by a Licensed Asbestos Contractor.
