By October 16, 2011, submit to the EHD a copy of the signed off copy of the manifest or a copy <br />of the information submitted to DTSC. REPEAT VIOLATION <br />404. A 5 gallon bucket of unknown liquid was observed in the facilities shop without a lid. All hazardous <br />waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close <br />this container, or place in a properly closed container, and ensure all hazardous waste containers are <br />closed when not adding or removing waste. REPEAT VIOLATION <br />407. A 55 gallon black and red steel drum which previously held used oil was observed in the storage <br />shed without empty labeling. Containers larger than five gallons that previously held a hazardous <br />material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year of being <br />emptied. Immediately mark and manage all empty containers per this section. REPEAT VIOLATION. <br />605. Two 55 gallon blue steel drums of used oil, a 55 gallon blue steel drum of used antifreeze, and a 55 <br />gallon black steel drum of used absorbent were observed in the storage shed with no hazardous <br />property listed. A 5 gallon bucket of unknown liquid was observed in the facilities shop with no label. All <br />hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />2. name and address of generator <br />3. hazardous properties (flammable, corrosive, reactive, toxic) <br />4. physical state (liquid, solid) <br />5. composition (contents) <br />6. accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br />information. The 55 gallon drum labels were corrected at the time of inspection. Since it cannot be <br />determined how long the 5 gallon bucket has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous <br />waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by <br />October 16, 2011.
