Cleaning garments <br />♦ Decontaminate in a 1:10 bleach/water solution. Note: the <br />bleach/water solution will fade color garments. <br />or <br />♦ Place clothing in a yellow plastic disposal bag (Spill Kit). Take <br />the bag to a professional cleaner. <br />Employees who have not followed the precautions outlined and <br />have potentially exposed themselves to any blood or body fluids <br />should do the following: <br />♦ Contact 3E Company at 1-800-451-8346 for guidance and <br />information. <br />♦ Use the same decontamination precautions with exposed areas <br />and clothing as outlined above. <br />♦ Exposure to pathogens may qualify as a Worker's <br />Compensation claim and should follow normal reporting <br />procedures. <br />♦ Report to assigned medical clinic for follow-up. <br />♦ Follow all treatment as prescribed by medical clinic. <br />Your supervisor will be instructed on the necessary documentation <br />needed for reporting of the incident. <br />Summary <br />It is important that everyone be aware of the potential for exposure <br />to Bloodborne Pathogens and be able to respond so as to minimize <br />the risk of infection.
