The Watertight Tank Sump Retrofit Lid Kit uses <br />materials with well documented technology that has been proven to be reliable and effective, <br />and the design and installation processes are sound. <br />A review of the requested storage tank system equipment indicates that these systems are <br />capable of performing as advertised in terms of their capability to safely contain the typical fuels <br />in use today and provide equivalent protection as provided in the state's requirements specified <br />in Rule 62-762.501, F.A.C. <br />Our review of the Watertight Tank Sump Retrofit Lid Kit concludes that the system, along with <br />the sump penetration fittings, will meet the Department's standards. The application indicates <br />that the manufacturing process, the installation requirements, and the quality assurance <br />programs appear to be sound, detailed, and reliable, and the materials in contact with petroleum <br />products are compatible with the regulated products they are designed to be in contact with. <br />It is our recommendation that the Diversified Products Manufacturing, Inc., Watertight Tank <br />Sump Retrofit Lid Kit, along with sump penetration fittings be approved by the Florida DEP for <br />use as storage tank system equipment in the state of Florida.
