Visual inspection of the piping within the dispensers <br />Please be aware that the facility cannot operate the UST system prior to the EHD <br />inspection and approval. <br />4. If concrete will be broken near the UST, a secondary containment test must be <br />performed on the UST once concrete is poured in accordance with the manufacturer's <br />guidelines. <br />5. Secondary containment testing for the new piping and UDCs 1/2 and 3/4 are required six <br />months after installation. Provide 48 hours notification to the EHD when this test is <br />scheduled. <br />6. Qualified installers must possess or work under the direct and personal supervision of an <br />individual physically present at the work site who possesses all of the following: <br />a. A valid, current contractor's license issued by the Contractors State License Board, <br />and <br />b. A valid, current certificate of training from the manufacturer(s) of the component(s) <br />being installed, and <br />c. A valid, current UST Installation/Retrofitting certificate issued by the International <br />Code Council (ICC). <br />7. Log into the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS), complete and submit a <br />"UST Certification of Installation/Modification" form for the new piping and UDC sumps. <br />8. All components must be certified by an independent testing organization and labeled as <br />required by the organization (UL, ULC, ANSI, API, ASTM, etc.). See California Code of <br />Regulations (CCR) Title 23, Chapter 16, Table B for a complete list. <br />9. Permit expires 180 days from the date of approval.
