BLOOM COMPANY, 2010 WEST FREMONT STREET, STOCKTON
Thank you for your letter of 21 March 1994 requesting our reevaluation, of the status ;of
this site. By letter, on 18 November 1988, we informed Mr. Robert Bloom, President, that
the residual contamination, 25 ppb xylene following pumping and discharge of the water
in the tank excavation, did not pose a threat to the future use of ground water. After my
conversation with you in February 1989, we agreed that the case would remain open
until Mr. Bloom complied with San Joaquin County requirements. Our understanding
is that no work has been done at the site to comply with the County requirements, which
would allow you to close the site and for us to concur. Considering the need to close this
file, enclosed is a copy of our Appendix B for closure .requests for your use. A copy also
was sent to Mr. Bloom. Any compliance schedule you negotiate with Mr..Bloom will be
suitable to us.
If you/lha);e tpy questions, please call Elizabeth Thayer at (916) 255-3125.
Ord Lee ggs
Unde gro d Tank
Prog m Manager
cc: Mr. Ronald Bloom, Charles H.
