(Stratus), has prepared <br /> this Letter Report for the former Apache Plastics facility (the Site), located at 2050 East <br /> Fremont Street, Stockton, California (see Figure 1 ). Stratus has completed the onsite portion <br /> of work activities proposed in documents titled Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment <br /> (April 9, 2002) and Work Plan Addendum (October 1 , 2002) and approved by San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) in a letter dated July 17, 2003 . This <br /> report documents the installation of four groundwater monitoring wells, the destruction of a <br /> groundwater monitoring well, the development and sampling of the newly installed wells, <br /> and the re-development of an existing well. Offsite well installation, destruction, and <br /> reconstruction activities will be completed at a later date. Beasley and Associates, L.P. are . <br /> currently working to secure the necessary documents needed to work in the City of Stockton <br /> right-of--way adjacent to the site. <br /> FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Prior to implementation of field activities, well installation and destruction permits were <br /> obtained from SJCEHD. Copies of the well installation and destruction permits are provided <br /> in Appendix A. Drilling locations were marked 48 hours prior to fieldwork. Underground <br /> Service Alert, SJCEHD, and the current property owner were notified 48 hours prior to <br /> beginning work activities.
