have ranged from 87,000 µg/L to 165,000 pg/L and benzene concentrations have ranged from
4,100 pg/L to 10,100 µglL in the MW-1 samples. GRO and BTEX impact to shallow
groundwater is also observed in the vicinity of wells MW-2, MW-3, and MW-8.
Relatively low concentrations of MTBE and TBA impact shallow groundwater beneath this site.
MTBE has been reported at maximum concentrations of 46 pg/L (MW-1), 122 µg/L (MW-2),
17 µg/l, (MW-3), 43 µg/L (MW-8), and 1.8 µglL (MW-9). TBA has been reported in shallow
screened wells MW-2 and MW-3, at maximum concentrations of 59 µglL and 29 µg/L,
respectively. Given the results of the well MW-7 sampling events, dissolved MTBE impact
extends to at least 121 feet bgs beneath the property. MTBE concentrations have ranged from
14 µg/l,to 27 µg/l, during historical sampling of well MW-7.
Relatively high concentrations of 1,2-DCA have been detected in groundwater beneath this
property. 1,2-DCA concentrations in shallow groundwater well samples have ranged from
300 µg/L to 1,060 µg/L (MW-1), 36 pg/L to 350 µg/L (MW-2), 220 µg/l, to 1,170 µg/L
(MW-3), 520 pg/L to 890 pg/L (MW-8), and 22 µglL to 120 pg/L (MW-9). 1,2-DCA has also
been detected in samples collected from each of 4 groundwater monitoring wells completed to 90
feet bgs, at maximum concentrations of 28 pg/L (MW-4), 61 µg/L (MW-5), 170 pg/L (MW-6),
and MW-12 (2.7 µg/Q. 1,2-DCA impact beneath this site extends to at least 121 feet bgs, based
on the findings of samples collected from well MW-7.
•
K:\ppache Plastics\Reportslapache-scm-assessment report2006.doc Page 14 STRATUS
