Under the law, it does not matter whether the property owner/operator brought the waste tires on site, allowed others to bring the tires on site or the tires were brought on site without permission, such as from illegal dumping. In all cases, the property owner and/or operator are required to remove the tires. If the waste tires are not removed in a timely manner, further enforcement action will be taken. Please be advised that if the waste tires are not removed by February 10, 2004, the issue will be forwarded to the CIWMB for further enforcement which may include the issuance of a Clean-up & Abatement Order setting deadlines and penalties. To avoid this action, please advise us prior to February 10, 2004 of when the tires have been removed and furnish us with copies of all manifests used for the transport of the tires.
