Chevron Products Company 6 <br />Former Chevron Station 9-5775, 301 W Kettleman Lane, Lodi, CA July 24,2000 <br />• Stockpiled Soil <br />Soil cuttings generated during drilling activities were stored on site and covered with a plastic <br />sheet Soil stockpile analytical results are presented in Table 4 Water generated during steam <br />cleaning of augers and development of wells was temporarily stored on site in DOT -approved <br />55 -gallon drums On June 26, 2000, Integrated Waste Management (IWM) transported the soil <br />stockpile, approximately 13 cubic yards, and 29 55 -gallon drums to an appropriate disposal <br />facility (Attachment 1) <br />Well Search <br />A sensitive receptor survey consisting of door-to-door field reconnaissance was performed to <br />identify domestic and municipal wells within a 1 -block radius of the site (Figure 9) The search <br />was conducted at the request of SJCEHD in a letter dated April 14, 2000 Verbal and written <br />details regarding the radius of the search were received on May 3 and July 20, 2000, <br />respectively (Attachment J) The results of the survey are provided below <br />Door -to -Door Well Survey <br />A door-to-door sensitive receptor survey was performed within a 1 -block radius of the Chevron <br />facility on July 12 and 13, 2000 by a SECOR representative to identify domestic wells not listed <br />in agency databases A total of two businesses and ninety-five residences were approached <br />. during the sensitive receptor survey <br />In fifty-five of the residences, the occupants were not home at the time of the survey At these <br />locations, an envelope was placed in the doorway containing a blank Water Supply Well <br />Location Survey Form, explanation letter, and a self addressed and stamped envelope As of <br />July 20, 2000, four of the residences responded to the survey by mail <br />n <br />�J <br />The field survey dad not identify domestic water wells within a 1 -block radius of the subject <br />site Field notes and signed copies of the Water Supply Well Location Survey Forms used <br />during the survey are included In Attachment K <br />EXTENT OF PETROLEUM HYDROCARBON IMPACTS <br />The extent of petroleum hydrocarbon impacts an soil and groundwater is discussed below <br />Extent of Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Soil <br />Maximum concentrations of hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenates in soil are located in the vicinity <br />of the former USTs adjacent to extraction well EX -1 and vapor extraction wells VE -1 through <br />VE -4 The vertical extent of TPHg, BTEX, and MtBE in the area of the former USTs extends <br />to approximately 65 feet bgs as indicated from analytical results from EX -1, VE -1 through VE - <br />077 41991 04319-5775PAR doe <br />
