6ETTLER-RYAN INC. <br />April 25, 2000 <br />Mr David J Camille <br />Tosco Marketing Company <br />2000 Crow Canyon Place, Suite 400 <br />San Ramon, California 94583 <br />Subject: Work Plan for Groundwater Purging and Disposal <br />Tosco (Former BP Oil) Station No. 11194 <br />2375 Tracy Boulevard, Tracy, California. <br />Dear Mr Camille <br />At the request of Tosco Marketing Company (Tosco), Gettler-Ryan Inc (GR) has prepared <br />• this Work Plan for Groundwater Purging and Disposal at the subject site On September 13, <br />1999, Blaine Tech Services Inc conducted quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling at <br />the site Monitonng well MW -2, located adjacent to the underground storage tanks (USTs) <br />(Figure 1), reportedly contained methyl tert-butyl ether (MtBE) at a concentration of 91,000 <br />parts per billion (ppb) In order to remove hydrocarbon -impacted groundwater, and to reduce <br />concentrations of MtBE in the vicinity of the former underground storage tanks (USTs), GR <br />proposes the removal of approximately 5,000 gallons of groundwater (combined total) from <br />monitoring well AMW-5 (immediately adjacent to well MW -2) and/or UST pit observation <br />wells OBS -E and OBS -W on a weekly basis <br />• <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The subject site is situated on the southwest corner of Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road, <br />in Tracy, California (Figure 1) Current station facilities include three gasoline USTs, two <br />dispenser islands, and a station building Fourteen groundwater monitoring wells (MW -1 <br />through MW -8 and AMW-1 through AMW-6) and two UST pit observation wells (OBS -E <br />and OBS -W) are present at and in the vicinity of the site Locations of the pertinent onsite <br />features are shown on Figure 1 <br />6747 Sierra Court, Suite J • Dublin, California 94568 - ( 9 2 5 ) 551 -7555 <br />
