771
MATERIALS, INC .
March 4, 2016
Stacy Rivera
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue,
Stockton, CA 95205-6232
Dear Ms. Rivera,
First of all I appreciate your thorough inspection at the facility and meeting with us to discuss the items
of concern to develop solutions to the deficiencies. Per my discussions with the responsible employees
on site and to the best of my knowledge my response to the item #'s documented in the APSA and
SQHWG inspection reports are as follows:
Berms are being placed on both sides perpendicular of the far wall of the shop to divert any possible
spill from the oil tank and drums located against the far wall into the service pit. The plan is to make this
permanent either by berm or by trench to divert all spills to the service pit as secondary containment.
This will be reflected by the revised SPCC plan.
Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report
102. The waste analysis for the grease trap has been obtained and included in this report.
109 & 110. Signed manifest # 013075145JJK has been obtained and included as an attachment with this
document. The facility is mandating that all manifests be submitted as a signed copy form the
destination facility. If the signed manifest is not submitted to the facility by that date we will submit the
manifest to DTSC without the destination handwritten signature within the 60 days.
112. Manifests are on site and maintained in a folder including the parts washer waste in after 2013.
Manifest is included in this report, Manifests will be maintained in the future and documents for three
years as required. Manifests for 2015 were in fact on site and not missing as indicated in the report.
114. Battery supplier's practice was not to specifically state batteries were used with core charge but in
fact they simply replaced on consignment the spent batteries with new batteries. The facility does in
P.O. Box 4770, Modesto, CA 95352 • (209) 529-4050 • Fax (209) 525-9051
