Ensure oil is clear, not extremely dirty or foamy <br />Pump/Motor Coupler - Visually inspect the coupler for signs of damage. Look for'shavings" that would indicate <br />J' <br />impending failure. Ensure safeguard is in place to prevent entanglement in rotating shaft. <br />✓ <br />OH/On Switches - Ensure each switch is in the correct position, locked if required and clearly marked as to what <br />r/ <br />it operates" <br />Valve Position - Ensure valves are in the correct position, locked and/or sealed as required and dearly marked <br />x with a tag with its P&ID # or Its purpose. <br />✓ <br />-Y Containment Area - Ensure area is dear of teaves and debris; inspect forsigns of damage <br />/ <br />Line Shock/Pipe Vibration - Watch and listen for vibration, which could be a sign ofincorrectly sized piping, <br />J <br />pumps, pressure relief valves, etc. <br />Pressure Relief Valves - Ensure valves are marked clearly with P&ID # and/or what It operates. Look for drips, <br />�/ <br />✓ <br />leaks and sign of damage. <br />Tags / Decals - Ensure all pumps are marked with their P&ID #, a tag describing their function or some means of <br />identification. <br />Pressure Gauges - Record pressure gauges when gauges are present.
