Visually inspect flange and blind bolts. Look for signs of damage and/or corrosion. Ensure there are arrows showing flow direction. Ensure piping is clearly marked with product service. (Refer to API 570, section 5.12 for Piping Inspection Code; API 1637 for Marking/Labeling) V ✓ y V ✓ Cathodic Protection System (where applicable) - Visually inspect to ensure the system is operational - monthly, complete the separate cathodic protection inspection form. / ! V ✓ Motor Operated Valves (MOVs) Air Leak - Listen for air leaks ✓ Piping Supports - Ensure supports are in good condition, sturdy; inspect for signs of rust or damage. / ✓ Automatic Gates - Ensure gates open and close properly and all safety features (sensor loops, contact alarms, lights, sounds) work correctly. Look for obvious signs of damage to gate operator, rollers, chains, hydraulic pumps Walkthrough Gates - Ensure gates are closed and locked and show no signs of damage or unauthorized entry V / v Off-site Drain Valves - Ensure valves are closed and locked when not in use and show no signs of damage /� V ✓ Video Cameras - Ensure cameras are present and show no obvious signs of damage. Check monitor inside to ensure they are working properly, are in focus and are adjusted to provide maximum viewing ✓ Dike Walls - Inspect walls for damage, points for potential leaks during spill (ex: animal burrows, cracks) ' ✓ ✓ Fenceline - Visually inspect the fenceline for holes in fencing, sagging/broken barbed wire, gaps under fencing, vegetation growing into fencing, suspicious packagesrpeople near fencing, signs of unauthorized entry / J Valves - Look for product leaks and drips; Ensure valves are in the correct position and locked when not in use; Ensure water draw and roof drain valves are closed and locked when not in use ✓ ti Manifold Area - Ensure there are no signs ofleaks; valves that are not in use are closed and locked; product valve labels are correct J Seals and Locks - Ensure all seals and locks are in place and show no signs of tampering ' f ✓ Dock Security Checks - Walk length of dock ispecting above and below; verify all gates are closed and locked at all times, dock buildings kept locked when dock unattended; check for hose leaks; check lighting at night V Pump Off Pumps - Visually inspect for leaks, listen for excessive or unusual noise when running, verify oil in lubricator, check pressure gauges, verify valves locked Leaks - Look for signs of drip or leaks. Pay close attention to welds, seams, valves and nozzles. / V --v/Tank Information Stenciling - Ensure fire diamond is present not faded and correct. Ensure stenciling is correct (product, levels of concern, valve identification) / ✓ / V J Tags/Decals - Update storage tank in-service tags/decals (Ex: Last time inspected, Cleaning dates, Capacity, etc.) / �/ Floating Suction Level Indicator - Verify floating suction level indicatoris moving with product sales/receipts l ✓ ITank Shell - Visually inspect for bulges, dents or signs of corrosion. V Monitoring Well - Visually inspect to ensure well is free of water, product and vapors. .�� Rags - Ensure there are no rags/absorbent pads laying about 1/ Electrical Cabinets - Ensure all cabinets are tightened closed and locked Driver Restroom - Ensure cleanliness, check vandalism V Drips and Spills - Look for evidence of product that could be a sign of a leak and could be a slipping hazard.
