Main Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95202-3029 <br /> RETURN TO COMPLIANCE CERTIFICATION - HAZARDOUS WASTE GENERATOR <br /> PROGRAM INSPECTION REPORT AND ABOVEGROUND PETROLEUM STORAGE <br /> ACT INSPECTION REPORT FOR CITY OF STOCKTON MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> DEPARTMENT MAIN PLANT, TERTIARY PLANT AND STORES FACILITIES <br /> INSPECTIONS CONDUCTED MAY 11, 2011 <br /> On May 11, 2011, San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> conducted a Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection of the Regional Wastewater <br /> Control Facility, EPA Hazardous Waste Generator, EPA000039581 Main Plant (CAL <br /> 000039581), Tertiary Plant (CAL 000181900) and MUD Stores. Summarized below are <br /> the corrective actions that have been taken or that will be taken in response to the <br /> inspection report you provided us on May 31, 2011 . Supporting documentation <br /> including copies of pertinent correspondence, training records and photographs are <br /> enclosed and referenced. <br /> Item Violation- Citation of non-compliance <br /> # RV- Repeat Violation <br /> Notes - Inspector's notes about what specific item(s) are non-compliant <br /> Response - City of Stockton, MUD response to non-compliant item. <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE PROGRAM INSPECTION REPORT <br /> MAIN PLANT - CAL000039581 <br /> 7 RV 7. Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Metal fines generated from metal grinders, drill presses and other metal <br /> working machinery are being recycled as scrap metal without first <br /> determining particle size or hazardous properties. A 1 gallon plastic <br /> N container of identified liquid was observed in the shed in the southwest yard <br /> without labeling. Two aerosol cans of wasp killer were observed in the trash <br /> dumpster with waste still inside. These cans were removed from the trash <br /> at the time of inspection.
