Based on the information submitted further investigation or remediation of the site is
not required at this time.
The monitoring well at this site must be destroyed under permit and inspection of PHSIEHD.
Submit a plan for destruction of the monitoring well, a permit application and$60 permit fee.
Once the permit for the work has been issued, the destruction of the well must be scheduled with
PHSIEHD, so the work can be witnessed.
The soil generated during drilling of the soil boring in which the monitoring well was constructed
did not evidence contamination so the soil can be spread at the site. The purge and development
water generated should be properly disposed.
Once the monitoring well has been destroyed, the soil spread and the water properly disposed, a
final "No Futher Action"letter will be prepared by PHS/EHD.
Since this site has not been placed in the Local Oversight Program, PHSIEHD does not have to
obtain concurrence for no further action from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board. PHSIEHD recommends that you obtain concurrence for"No Further Action"at this site
from the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board so that this is noted on their
"LUSTIS"data base.
