Adjust when fin- <br />ished making termination cuts. <br />Tapering and Scarfing With Power Tools <br />The 3000 series power tool is recommended for Dualoy 3000/ <br />LCX pipe. It is specifically designed by FGS to taper the pri- <br />mary pipe and scarf the containment pipe. Tools are available <br />from other manufacturers but they only taper the primary <br />pipe. They are not designed to provide a powered scarf to <br />the containment pipe. Pipe tapered with these tools should be <br />periodically checked against a factory taper for taper length <br />and taper angle. The correct mandrel must be used for Dualoy <br />pipe. Refer to tool instructions for proper procedures. <br />Tapering and Scarfing With Manual Tools <br />For situations where electricity isn't available, use the Ratchet <br />Pro Taper Maker fitted with the special blade designed for LCX <br />primary tapers.
