The ball valve shall be closed to prevent B20 from entering the piping connected to the auto side UDCs.
Thank you,
Garrett Backus, Ld. If approved I could get better clarification on our exact steps and time frames. To be honest we are
getting engineered plans drawn up and currently getting bids from fuel contractors to replace all 6 diesel sumps and all
the Auto UDC's/piping and put 3+1 on the auto side; which would allow us to sell diesel on every UDC on the auto
side. Those plans were based on not getting approval for the UDC's and diesel sumps; not sure if they will proceed or
get scrapped. I think Love's would prefer not to replace perfectly good sumps/piping and UDC's if not needed (if
approved for B20).
Does that mean you will not be selling any diesel fuels to cars? If approved and if we started to store B20 and
the 2 UDC's on the auto side are not replaced; correct we would not sell any B20 Diesel on the auto side, by
turning the ball valve off.
2. Do you have a time frame for the change out of the UDC's and dispensers on the auto side? Once approved a
realistic time frame is 2 months.
3. If not, what happens to the piping? Will you temporarily close it? Monitor it? The piping sump is still monitored
through the turbine sump that has a 208 sensor at the bottom of the sump and the UDC.
