Manzo [EH]
Subject: [EXT] RE: B-20 in Loves tanks - San Joaquin County - Ripon USTs
Hi Jesse,
Thank you for the updated information regarding your intention to store 20% biodiesel (1320) in your two diesel USTs at
1553 Colony Road, Ripon.
I read your letter and was wondering if you could clarify your statement that you will turn the diesel valve so no diesel
will go the two diesel dispensers on the car side until the UDC's could be replaced with Bravo dispensers because the
green Environ UDC's are not compatible with B20. My questions are as follows:
1. Does that mean you will not be selling any diesel fuels to cars? If approved and if we started to store B20 and
the 2 UDC's on the auto side are not replaced; correct we would not sell any B20 Diesel on the auto side, by
turning the ball valve off.
2. Do you have a time frame for the change out of the UDC's and dispensers on the auto side? Once approved a
realistic time frame is 2 months.
3. If not, what happens to the piping? Will you temporarily close it? Monitor it? The piping sump is still monitored
through the turbine sump that has a 208 sensor at the bottom of the sump
Thank you for any clarification you can provide.
Kasey
Kasey Foley, REHS
Program Coordinator, CUPA Programs
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, CA 95205
(209) 468-3451
kfolev@sicehd.com
www.sigov.org/ehd
From: Jesse Diaz [mailto:Jesse.Diaz@loves.com]
Sent: Wednesday, June 29, 2016 10:30 AM
To: Garrett Backus [EH]
Cc: Elena K.
