AWARIDG = Wear protective goggles and a mask
when mixing and applying resin or paste.
' DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS
AWARNING. ONLY MIX YOUR SLURRY BY HAND
B.2 - Pour your entire Gallon of slurry mix into your blue bucket and add the catalyst, then slowly
but thoroughly stir it until the mixture is consistent. Do not "fluff' it with air or use any powered tools to
speed up the process. It should be hand -stirred. Then pour three-quarters of the mixture
evenly into the slurry channel of the base (Fig. B.2). Use stir stick to spread it around until it is even
and level.
B.3 - Slowly and evenly lower the top half into the channel (Fig. B.3). DO NOT SPILL ANY
SLURRY BY DROPPING IT INTO THE CHANNEL.
Add the rest of the slurry mixture to the channel on the inside and outside. Spread or spackle
the slurry into the channel where it appears to be too low. Visually check to make sure the
slurry has not overflowerd over the lip of the channel, either inside or outside.
Pay particular attention to the quality of seal at the corners.
3/4 Slurry Mixture
DO NOT DISTURB THE SUMP OR IT'S PIPING
UNTIL AFTER THE FULL SPECIFIED CURE TIME
Fig. B.2
B7000 sump
Channel
Tank Sump Base
Fig. B.3 With B7000 sump in
place, apply the rest
of the slurry where
necessary
VULKEM 116
B.4 - OPTIONAL OVERSEAL - It is highly recommended that as a
redundant seal for your B7000 Sump Joint, you cover and coat the top of the
fully -cured slurry installation with Vulkem 116 polyurethane sealant on the exterior.
If you want this additional seal, you must thoroughly coat the top of the slurry so that
the Vulkem seals to the outside edge of the channel and the Sump wall. You can
NOT use any other sealant type. Vulkem 116 Sealant must cure overnight.
5 ii -B7000 -SP -13A
