Page 1 <br /> RESD Contract No.3014214 <br /> SITE-SPECIFIC HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN <br /> This Site Specific Health and Safety Plan (SHSP) provides in unique to the California <br /> Department of General Services Real Estate Services Division (RESD) site investigation and remediation <br /> design (SURD) Project site being investigated. The SHSP is intended to provide an overview of the <br /> potential hazards that could be encountered at the work site and to identify the specific measures <br /> necessary to control exposure to these hazards. The site-specific information provided in the SHSP <br /> includes a Project site description, work tasks and objectives, field personnel and their responsibilities, <br /> work task hazard assessment (i.e., chemical and physical hazards), site control measures, personal <br /> protective equipment (PPE) and safety/emergency equipment, emergency contacts and hospital location <br /> map. Supporting the SHSP is the accompanying Project Health and Safety Plan (HSP). The HSP, <br /> included as Appendix A to this SHSP, provides detailed information on the chemical and physical <br /> hazards, control measures, PPE, and emergency response procedures that may apply to any one of the 12 <br /> proposed Project sites. Consequently, personnel are to review the SHSP to identify those hazards and <br /> controls that are appropriate for the site, and to consult the HSP for a more detailed description of the <br /> hazards, and appropriate control measures and PPE. <br /> Items marked with `8 CCR §5192..." (Title 8 California Code of Regulations [8 CCR], Department of <br /> Industrial Relations,Division of Industrial Safety [Cal/OSHA] General Safety Orders for hazardous waste <br /> operations and emergency response) are required by Cal/OSHA in the paragraph noted. <br /> MSW-I:114214103_Stocktonlhasp.doc <br />
