1
23 September 2008
AGE-NC Project No.07-1537
format (EDF) files were QA/QC checked and uploaded to the state GeoTracker database;
confirmation numbers are 1739487171 and 4008800685.
3.3. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLES
A grab ground water sample was collected from soil boring B5 at a depth of 50 feet bsg(B5-GW 1
and B5-GW2 [duplicate from amber liter]).
No petroleum hydrocarbon constituents were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits.
Analytical results for the grab ground water sample is summarized in Table 2.The laboratory report
(CTEL Project No. CT214-0804054), QA/QC reports, and chain of custody forms are included in
Appendix E. Laboratory EDF files were QA/QC checked and uploaded to the state GeoTracker
database; the confirmation number is 4008800685.
Monitoring wells MW-7 through MW-11 were developed and sampled during the Second Quarter
monitoring event on 29 April 2008.Results of the sampling event will be presented in a forthcoming,
separate report entitled Ground Water Monitoring Report-Second Quarter 2008.
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the findings of this investigation,AGE concludes:
• The vertical extent of petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted soil appears to be defined by soil
boring B1, at approximately 55 feet bsg. The vertical extent of xylenes-impacted soil is
defined in pilot soil boring MW 11 at approximately 98 feet bsg.
• The vertical extent of MTBE-impacted soil is not defined.
• The lateral extent of petroleum impacted soil appears to be defined northeast, east, south, and
southeast of the former UST area by monitoring wells MW-4 though MW-10. The lateral
extent of petroleum impacted soil also appears to be defined to the west by monitoring well
MW-1, though some minor detections were reported in soil boring B5, located to the
northwest of well MW-1.
Advanced GeoEvironmental,Inc.
